Music Management students learn the business beyond the classroom as they negotiate with artists, venue owners and promoters in the practical staging of events. Students are assessed on practical assignments which call into play all the expertise required to successfully market and manage an artist or band. The student will be empowered with music marketing, sales, financial and management skills which will enable him/her to forge a pathway into this high-energy industry. Students in this programme get the real world experience of organising showcase events and producing a CD for the market place.

Entry Requirements:

Leaving Certificate / LCVP with a minimum of two HC3s and three passes at ordinary level or FETAC level 5 Certificate with a merit profile or BTEC National Diploma with a merit profile. The academic entry requirements may be waived for mature applicants (21+).

Certification:

BTEC Higher National Diploma in Media Production (Music Management).

Progression:

Graduates may gain exemption from one or two years of degree courses in the UK. Graduates who achieve a merit/distinction may apply for entry to BA (Hons) in Media Production Management in BCFE.
