This course provides an introduction to Digital Media, specifically Multimedia, Web Design and Sound Technologies. It is suitable for those with no previous computer experience.

Course Content:

Multimedia Authoring, Project Development, Web Authoring, Design, Image Processing, Desktop Audio, Introduction to 3D, Media Analysis, Communications, Work Experience.

Entry Requirements:

Five passes in Leaving Certificate/LCVP or a merit in Leaving Certificate Applied or FETAC level 4 Certificate. The academic entry requirements may be waived for mature applicants (21+).

Certification:

FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Multimedia Production (EMMPX)

Progression:

Graduates are eligible to apply to progress to Higher Education Courses through the Higher Education Links Scheme and through the Pilot Scheme. Graduates with a merit profile may apply for entry to BTEC Higher National Diploma Courses in BCFE.
