Advanced Business Certificate (Management, Accounting and Finance)
Course Code zBFC, Duration: 1 Year
This course is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in business management or accounting. Its particular focus is in the area of accounting and it will give an excellent basis for employment and for further study in accounting.
Course Content:
Financial Reporting, Business Management, Costing and Funds Administration, Marketing, Computerised Accounts, Business Law, Supervisory Management Skills, Bookkeeping Manual and Computerised, Communications, Work Experience, Manual and Computerised Payroll.
Entry Requirements:
Leaving Certificate / LCVP with a minimum of two HC3s and three passes at ordinary level including passes in English and Maths or FETAC level 5 Certificate with a merit profile including FETAC level 5 Mathematics or equivalent. The academic entry requirements may be waived for mature applicants (21+).
Certification:
FETAC Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Business (BBMSX) (subject to approval)
Progression:
Formal arrangements for progression / exemptions are being negotiated. Graduates may continue their studies by progressing onto to relevant degrees or by qualifying in the area of accounting at either accounting technician level or as accountants.
