Course Content:
Tourism Awareness, Reception, Customer Service, Reception Operations and Services, Personal Presentation, French, Cultural Studies, Word Processing, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Marketing, Communications, Work Experience.
Entry Requirements:
Five passes in Leaving Certificate/LCVP or a merit in Leaving Certificate Applied or FETAC level 4 Certificate. The academic entry requirements may be waived for mature applicants (21+).
Certification:
FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Tourism (DTXXX) or FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Business Studies (BBSXX). Diploma in Reception Operations and Services (City and Guilds)
Progression:
Graduates may apply for entry to Diploma in Reception, Tourism and Business (level 6) in BCFE and other Higher National Diploma Courses. Graduates are eligible to apply to progress to Higher Education Courses through the Higher Education Links Scheme and through the Pilot Scheme.
